FLU SEASON 2020/21

Don't let the FLU catch you! Yes it's that time of year again..... Every season, influenza does more damage than most people realize. It can affect your child or parent, a friend or family member, a colleague or loved one. If you are over 65, pregnant, have a child 2-3yrs of age, a carer, have a long term health condition, or perhaps your unsure? Please call the surgery.

Flu Clinics are to be arranged and will be advertised for our patients once the practice has received our Flu Vacs

50-64 Year Old Age Group

Please note that people in the 50-64 year old age group will not be vaccinated against influenza until November and December, providing there is sufficient vaccine. No appointments will be offered to this group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.

GP Net Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of the doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.


The average pay for GPs working in The Haven Surgery in the financial year was £69,971 before tax and national insurance. This is for 1 full time GP and 1 part time GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
